In keeping with this time of change, the Songs of Good Cheer holiday sing-a-long led by Chicago Tribune columnists Eric Zorn and Mary Schmich has moved from the Old Town School of Folk Music to the Harris Theater. But, in its 10th season, it keeps a cast of Old Town School’s top musicians, and the reason for the evening: goodwill. Proceeds benefit the Chicago Tribune Holiday Giving charity. And, Old Town members still get a discount on tickets. 7:30 p.m. Friday at Harris Theater for Music and Dance, 205 E. Randolph Drive. $36-$40; 312-334-7777 or harristheaterchicago.org.
